Breaking down the barriers to success – how to rise in male dominated environments

Women in Health and Safety and Women in Transport are pleased to invite you to hear from three expert speakers in an evening of networking; exploring the challenges many women face in career progression in male dominated workforces such as the transport sector.

Taking place at 6pm on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 in Blackfriars, London, the event offers you the chance to listen to an expert panel debate, and network over drinks and canapes – with the backdrop of the London skyline.

Speakers at the event include three senior women who have built incredibly successful careers in traditionally male dominated environments – who will share how they overcame some of the challenges they met along the way.

Holly Price, Vice President and first National Female Officer of the National Federation of Demolition Contractors & Director of Training and Development at the Keltbray Group; Lynn Way, Vice President, National Access and Scaffolding Confederation; and Jacqueline O’Donovan, Fellow of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport & MD of O’Donovan Waste Disposal, will all share their personal routes to success.

Chaired by Clive Johnson, Group Head of Health, Safety and Security at Landsec, an interactive Q&A session will give you the opportunity to ask the panel more about achieving career success, lessons learnt and gender parity issues across their industries. It promises to be a lively discussion.

Mark Lomas, Head of Diversity and Inclusion at HS2 will also be talking about the innovative steps being taken at HS2 to increase female representation in the transport sector.
